Adding Plants To A Room For Early Spring Vibes
Where I’m adding plants to a room for early spring vibes and less winter blues. Here are ideas for decorating with plants for spring!
Spring is just around the corner, but I’m not waiting for the flowers to bloom. We’ve had so many snow storms and icey days that I’m ready for spring…..like yesterday. I wanted to give the family room a bit of green touches and decided that adding plants to a room for early spring vibes was just the thing it needed. I moved some plants around to bring the outdoor look indoors. I do tend to move the plants all over the house to catch the best lighting. Many of them became droopy this winter and I can’t blame them. I felt a bit of the winter blues too. With a little shifting, the plants have really made the family room more vibrant and the place to be this late winter/early spring. Here are some places to add some plants and make your own home ooze some early spring vibes.
Decorating with Plants for Spring
Empty nooks can make a space look a bit cold. Adding a vibrant chair and tall house plants makes this nook the perfect cozy spot this spring. Use woven baskets and belly baskets as planters for a bohemian style. Keep the baskets dry using a plastic planter tray inside the basket or a planter pot that comes with a drain plate.
The family room mantel is always decorated maximally. I’ve tried to keep things simple in the past, but in the end decor items are always added to this small mantel shelf. For spring, I’ve added a few different plants in arious planters. The champagne bucket still houses a plant, but I’ve added a small pothos to a silver toned container. Don’t forget to accessorize your mantel with some global goodies. I added my diy bone bead art, global bead garlands, and kept the mudcloth wooden trees.
It seems a little counterproductive, but adding your plants to a desktop is probably the most bohemian styling tip you can do. It’s all about the plants for spring and this over crowded desk can make your living room feel like a jungle oasis. Remember to open up the curtains and let the sun shine on these plant babies.
Instead of the florals this spring, try adding some vibrant green plants to your room. Not only do they last longer, but the rich green hues can make your room ready to kick winter to the curb. 🙂
Happy Decorating!
