Thanksgiving is weeks away and I’m already in the planning mode.  I’ve hosted Thanksgiving every year for the past 10 years and the most important thing I’ve learned is that I can survive the hectic day with a well made plan.  Each year I create a planner to help me with the big Thanksgiving meal.  I typically start my planning the Sunday before Thanksgiving.  I make my menu, write out my shopping list, then hit the store on Tuesday.  I try not to shop for anything on Mondays since most grocery stores receive their shipments late on Monday.  Heading to the store Tuesday morning gives me access to all the fresh produce right at the beginning of the day.

To help you with your Thanksgiving planning, I’ve created a cute Otomi inspired Thanksgiving menu planner printable.  This printable menu planner is FREE for you to use.  The pattern is filled with iconic Thanksgiving images made to resemble the folk art of Mexican Otomi pattern.  As you can imagine, many of us Latina Americans have incorporated Thanksgiving into our lives regardless if the holiday is celebrated in our country of origin.  Use this printable to plan your meals, write out your shopping list, or as a signup list for assigned dishes.  We typically have a potluck concept for Thanksgiving, so writing down which dish each family member is bringing helps my planning even more.
