Easy DIY chalkboard gift tags tutorial

What You Need:

  • Chalkboard bunting banner (Similar here)
  • Chalkboard pens
  • Decorative Tape (I found mine at Ikea, but you can see similar ones here)

First, take the included jute rope from your chalkboard banner package to create individual hanging loops for each chalkboard piece.  Insert the rope into each of the chalkboard holes and tie into a knot.  Be sure to have the loops long enough to be hung on a Christmas tree.

Apply your decorative tape slightly below the chalkboard holes and wrap around the sides of each chalkboard piece.  Mix and match your decorative tape or the height of the tape placement for different looks.  Then, use your chalkboard pen to write the name of your intended gift receiver.  Write your name on the front or backside of the chalkboard tag.

  1. Stephanie, I love those, they are too cute!! I will have to look for some of those. I love tags that the person can keep rather than just toss to the side! These are perfect! Love and hugs!!
