Hola!
Mornings here at Casa Watkins have been becoming more and more busy.  I wake up and start my day pretty early.  My mother would always tell us to have some moments to ourselves and mornings are the best time. “Vive en el momento” Live in the moment, she would say.

You’d be surprised to find out how just a few minutes to yourself helps get you in a great, bright and playful mood.  I also find that lighting an enticing Glade® Radiant Berries™ candle also helps make your day feel a little brighter.  The bold scents of berries evokes a rush of energy that helps kickstart your day.

The Glade® Radiant Berries™ candles and fragrant oils are available at Target.  I need to get stocks in that store!  I’m there all of the time.  You can spend so much time smelling all the wonderful Glade® candles.  Enjoy the swirl of berry scents and start your day full of energy.

I was inspired to make a set of DIY Marble Tile pattern glasses as soon as I felt the rush of the berries scents. The jolt of creativity was enticing so I whipped up these easy glasses that were inspired by the beautiful red and pink tones in the candle.

How-to-Make-Marbled-Glasses
To make your very own set of Marble Tile Pattern Glasses you will need:

  1.  A set of glasses
  2.  A couple of pink and red toned nail polishes
  3.  A aluminum tray
  4.  Tape

Start by cleaning off your glasses and applying the tape in a tile pattern. I chose two different tile patterns for my glasses.

Fill the aluminum tray with enough water that will cover the glass up to the taped off area. Pour a small amount of the nail polish into the water and repeat with the other nail polish color in the center. Dip the glasses straight into the water and remove in an upward motion.

Repeat the process with the remaining glasses and allow the glasses to dry.  Remove the tape once the glasses have fully dried.  Finish your glasses with a waterproof sealant.  There are also some that can be used in the dishwasher now!
