Hola!
The winter holiday season is my favorite part of the year.  I love the family traditions, lifelong
memories, and, of course, the big tasty meals, all of which make the holidays filled with joy or
alegría.  When prepping for the holidays, home scents are a must.  Glade® products are always
a great source of aromatic home scents for me.  So, I was tickled with joy when I saw the
Glade® Winter Collection at Target.

There are so many wonderful scents in the Glade® Winter Collection, each of which has their
own special way of inspiring wonderful holiday ideas.  I loved the smell of the Glade® Cherish
the Present™ candle.  The apple cinnamon aroma helps bring out feelings of holiday joy and
warmness.  That is exactly how I feel when I smell my mother’s Holiday Puddin’ de Pan, her
version of bread pudding.  This Latin recipe always brings a smile to not only my face but
everyone who takes a bite of this delicious bread pudding.

My mother always serves her Pudding’ de Pan after our big Thanksgiving and Christmas
dinners.   She even makes it for our New Year’s celebration.  We love eating Puddin’ de Pan as
we gather in the living room to play board games.  We have a running tournament of Charades.
Not to toot my own horn, but my sister and I are an unbeatable team.  Running Champs, but I
probably jinxed myself now.  This holiday dessert has become a family tradition and I am happy
to extend this recipe to you.

Here is how you can make this wonderful Puddin’ de Pan recipe.

You will need:
  • 18 slices of white or wheat bread
  • 3 1/2 cups of whole milk
  • 3 eggs with yolks broken and slightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups of sugar
  • 4 tbs melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 oz of raisins

1. Break the bread into small pieces and place in a large bowl.
2. Add all the remaining ingredients to the bowl.

3. Mix all the ingredients together and use a potato masher to mash the mix together.
4. Place in a casserole dish and bake at 375F for 1 hour. You may need to add an additional 15
minutes based on your oven.
5. Remove from the oven when the top is browning.
6. Cut the pudding in small squares or scoop into your favorite glass dish.

Top with fresh fruit, whipped cream, or ice cream. Yummy!
