Fall 2015 Home Tour Part Dos

Hola!
How did you do with all the rain this week?  It was a bad week for photography, but a great week to get projects done indoors.  Today, I’m continuing my fall home tour with some more lovely bloggers.  If you didn’t see my fall tour part uno be sure to see it by clicking here.  Now, on to my fall tour part dos!  Remember to hop on over to the other blogs at the end of the post for more great fall home tours.  These ladies are tremendously talented home decor bloggers.

Today, I’m concentrating on my outdoor fall decor.  I must admit, this is my first year decorating my porch.  Last year,  my outdoor decor consisted of hanging a wreath and changing the door mat.  Fall is such a beautiful time to decorate outdoors that I had to spend some time this year refreshing the porch for the fall.

The wreath was a Spring project and only cost my $5.00 to make!  Check that post out here.  I love the yellow daffodils and decided to keep them until late fall.  It just coordinates so well with the yellow bench cushion from Target.  A red Indian inspired pillow from HomeGoods pops against the ivory pillows.  You know me, I have to get color in.

The flower of the fall season, mums, were present and accounted for.  The mums were priced pretty great at Lowe’s.  So, I made a trip a couple of weeks ago for them.  I made a note to myself to remember to water them.  Hopefully the will make it through the entire season.  The black planter was purchased last year from Joann Fabrics.  I have a good project to update the planter this week so stay tuned for that.

In an effort to limit my fall decor spending, I’ve been recycling my fall decor from the previous years.  The fall vignette on the coffee table utilized old fall decor as well as the dining room fall tablescape from my fall tour part uno.  These welcome pumpkins, purchased from Walmart, were part of my Thanksgiving tablescape about 4 years ago!  They make a great addition to this simple outdoor vignette.

Okay, it’s getting a bit chilly outside so let’s head indoors.  Not kidding, amigos.  It felt like it was 50 degrees outside and I was taking pictures in shorts!

I shared my entryway and family room on home tour part uno.  I also shared my dining room, but I decided to spruce up my tablescape again.  If making tablescapes could be my job, I would do it in a heartbeat.  I really enjoy putting together a beautiful table arrangement.

I posted this picture on Instagram last week.  What you didn’t see was the rest of the table, so I wanted to share that with you.  Unfortunately, the lighting was still not great for indoor pictures.  Hopefully the weather is much better this week.

Globally inspired pieces were incorporated to create a colorful, fall tablescape.  I included my English toile placemats from HomeGoods as the base of each placesetting.  The blue and white toile placemat is used a lot in my home.  The colors just work with any tablescape.

Blue Willow china and antique Chinese dessert plates with coordinating tea saucers were placed on top of a gold charger.  What are your thoughts on charger plates, yay or nay?  We use them a lot for formal table settings, but otherwise they just sit in a drawer.  Moroccan cobalt blue goblets were alternated with mixed clear glass goblets.  A popping napkin in red brings in some fall colors.  I topped the tea saucer with an individual mum and a couple of rose petals.

For the centerpiece, I opted to place several pieces from my growing milk glass collection mixed with blue and white chinoiserie accents.  If you read my Home Style blog post, you know I can’t resist adding some gold and chinoiserie elements in my decor.  If you haven’t seen that post, it is a must.  20 bloggers share their home styles and how each element is expressed in their home.  Read all about it by clicking here.

I folded a green table cloth in thirds and used it as a runner for the table.  A few floral arrangements with fall flowers adds a bit of fall glamour.
