Spring Kitchen Table Vignette

Hola!
I am so excited for this warm Spring temperature.  It was in the 50’s this week!  Spring is in bloom and it has trickled into my casa and today I’m sharing my Spring kitchen table vignette.  This vignette features a few items from HomeGoods that I found just this week.  I’m becoming a regular at HomeGoods now.  I wish they had a frequent shopper discount card.

I found these great plates today at HomeGoods along with this set of kitchen towels.  I have a great idea what to do with these towels.  I’ll be posting about that project soon.  I also purchased the florals and yellow striped kitchen towel from HomeGoods.  During my clearing of project supplies, I ran across this black and white chevron striped fabric.  It just complements the dinner plates so well.

My kitchen table had a glass tabletop which just broke last week.  I’ve been using this spare kitchen table top that is actually the top of my basement poker table.  I think it looks pretty good and its a temporary fix until I find the right table.  I made a quick table runner by folding the edges of the fabric inward.  No need to sew this runner just yet.

The green owl glasses were a Target find from last year.  I found them at the Target clearance section.  The blue and white Chinese tea pot was a thrift store find from last week.  I also found the salt and pepper shakers which I updated.  I have a separate post which I feature these shakers along with some other great updated pieces in my Look for Less: Oscar de La Renta housewares post coming soon.

I was lucky to have this black chicken wire basket to hold a mix of new and old plates.  The front plates are from my mother.  They were a gift from my Father soon after they were married.  I just adore vintage authentic China pieces.  I was ecstatic to find that authentic Chinese tea pot at the thrift store for only $3.00.

Its better to have varying heights when it comes to setting up a vignette.  You want to have your eye drawn upward to more great decor items.  I used a cake platter to raise the florals and other pieces.  Everything came together great in the white tray.  I actually just spray painted this tray yesterday.  Its only a primer white spray, but I have future plans for this tray.  Its the perfect piece to bring this Spring kitchen table vignette together.
