Glade Plug-In Upgrade with Washi Tape

Hola!
The kids have been a little sick this week so I’ve had limited time to post.  Is it me, or are all kids sick about every other week?  I feel like the kids get yet another cold as soon as we finish the other.  If one of the two kiddos get sick, then its only a matter of time when the other will be sick.  🙁

Anyway, I’ve been wiping noses and giving all-natural cough medicines all day.  I did have some time to do a quick change to my Glade plug-ins.  I have an unusual amount of these plug-ins.  I think we just keep buying them when they get misplaced.  I do love them in the hallway since they light up once the lights are off.  An easy pathway for Nugget to find the potty.

The only downfall is that they all come in plain white.  They blended in with the walls before we painted.  However, they tend to stand out a little more now that we painted the walls a greige color.  If they are already standing out, why not make them look better?  I took just a few minutes, literally like about 3 minutes only, to upgrade these plug-ins using washi tape.  Here are a couple of plug-in spots on the first floor.

I didn’t use any expensive decorative tape.  I found a 2 pack of the decorative tape at Joann Fabrics for $1.00.  I used a green and purple themed tape, but you can find all sorts of colors and patterns almost anywhere now.

I used the green tape for the plug-in by the kitchen sink.  I think it goes well with the plant and my new diy cup parking station.  It has been working great to keep all those extra cups that pile up in a day at a minimum.  I have a couple more ideas for the others around my casa, but I’ll leave that for another time.  I wonder if I could spray paint them??  Let me know if you have tried to spray paint these plug-ins.

Do you have a washi-tape pinterest board?  Start one with this pin and follow my Casa Watkins board.
