Mom’s After School Cookie Bars

Hi everyone!

I’m excited to finally kick off my week.  I was hit with an awful stomach virus early this week as well as a heavy snow storm.  Now that both have resolved,  I can finally get back to my projects.

Today I’m sharing my after school cookie bars.  I get into baking mode typically in the afternoon.  Most of the time, that coincides with the time the kids are getting up from nap or getting home from school.

This recipe is for quick and easy honey chocolate chip cookie bars that you can whip up in less than 30 minutes for those special after school days or when you just want some CHOCOLATE!

I’ve whipped up these cookie bars for several occasions, but for me the best times were just after school.  Here is a recipe card for you to print out and keep for all those times you want a quick dessert.

Make your after school snack time even more special by serving the kiddos some milk in the honey containers.  I simply added some paper die cut flowers and a jewel sticker to this little honey container.  Easy, peasy for you and a little special treat for your kiddos.

Hope you enjoy these cookie bars.  For an adult treat, I substitute the salt for sea salt.  You get a little salty taste with each sweet bit of the cookie.  It’s very delicious.

Thanks for stopping by,
